Focus on right things

Have you ever gotten in a cab and told the driver "Just take me anywhere"? We know that the road to anywhere leads to the town called Nowhere. Yet a lot of people are leading their lives in such a way.

Achieving what you want in life does not require any magic formulas or secret ingredients. It's simply focusing on what works versus what does not work. Many people focus on wrong things. Those who live from paycheck to paycheck every month have not focused or studied how to acquire financial intelligence. Many people are stuck in a job that they don't like or enjoy yet they continue to stay there because it is paying bills, rather than being focused on what they really enjoy and want to do.

The point is clearly to focus on what you like, what things in the past have worked for you and brought you the biggest victories. What are you doing right now that is not working. All this require you to sit down and do some clear thinking. Having a clear mental picture of what you want without any fuzziness is one of the core indigents of achieving anything that you want. If you don't know what are you looking for, certainly then no one else does either.

hope everyone is having great time, it's beautiful out here finally spring weather hoohoo!

Hi Yazi!
Very needful and helpful post!

"Achieving what you want in life does not require any magic formulas or secret ingredients. It's simply focusing on what works versus what does not work."

I agree with you. We sometimes focus on wrong things.

I think that the things are:
-the most important(family, our hobby, etc.....?),
-very important(job, ....?)
-important(.....?)
-not important(.......?)

If we concentrate on not important or important things only, we can't achieve what we want and what is good for us.

And that's true:
"If you don't know what are you looking for, certainly then no one else does either."

Thanks for sharing these thoughts!
Wishing you the best Sunday!

You're so right.
Every now and then I feel like losing my focus. I have the tendency of giving too much importance to my job.

So what happens is that I spend more time than I should, having no time left for the other things I love doing, like practicing sports, meeting friends, reading books, writing.

We should ask ourselvs everyday: "Am I doing what really matters?"

Have an awesome week!!!

Hi Yazi, great post.
Financial freedom is a BIG thing for everyone, I always believe that everyone shound have a "Plan B". Living on a paycheck will not guarantee a financial security.

I like your new photo. :)

Although it's good to concentrate on what's important, sometimes it's also good to be distracted by the 'less important', which actually might lead to something more important... if you see what I mean.

My dad once gave me some advice. He said that, as you walk along the road, most people look only along the road in the direction they are aiming for, and miss all the beautiful scenery to the sides....

@annelisa, thats true, being attentive along the way is important, regular breaks, feedbacks are important.

@pria & elween LOL, yeah the driver will take you somewhere, that was just an example. chances are we will not say him just take me whereever..

Thanks for all of you swinging by and leaving comments, really expanding my ability to look at things from others prespectives, expands my vision, the reason i love blogging (: (; (:

Hi Yazi,

Thanks for your surprise visit. It is so nice meeting you.

I really like your blog, simple and very comfortable. :)

Nobody likes to live on paycheck if they have a choice. When I was young, I lived on paycheck because my job does not pay me well.

I worked hard, took up courses to further my education. Finally I have managed to achieve a better life.

Thanks for the great post. :)
