Barriers to Innovation

I came across this in a reading, it’s quite an interesting list that can hamper innovation. At first it seems strange, but giving it a thought it does make sense and changing some of these might help us tap into our creative genius. Here it is...

  • Not asking enough questions
  • Having rigid point of view
  • Depending on your memory too much
  • I have always done things this way
  • Fear of looking stupid
  • Being logical
  • It’s important to work hard and be serious
  • Giving up so soon and too easy

wishing u better day than good, yazi~/

Encourage

You never know how far the circles will go when you throw a pebble in the lake or ocean, just like you never know what an encouragement would do for someone in need of it.

Never look down on anyone, unless you are helping to pull them up!

Something to think about and regularly practice. Wishing you all better day than good!

Become less controlling

A person who is controlling carries a great deal of stress, not because he/she is concerned with his/her own choices & behavior, but also in addition they think of others to behave & perform in certain way. Occasionally, we can influence other person, but we certainly can't force them to be certain way

Controlling people lack the willingness to allow other people to be fully themselves, give them space to be who they are, and to respect-really respect the fact that human beings are different.

The advantage of being less controlling is that people will feel easier and respected around your presence. Plus their will be less stress on you to feel the need to have people be the way to fit the image that you have of them..

Remember, Don't take yourself so damn serious (this is a link to previous post)

Build some trust

Building Trust is a four step process repeated over and over..
  1. Find out what is important to the other person
  2. Make a promise to do something on their behalf
  3. Do what you promised
  4. Check & make sure they are satisfied
If this four step process is completed once, he or she will open up for future encounters. Based on their experience, they now have a reason to "trust" you. A foundation of long term loyalty and success.
