Confidence building

Few confidence building measures that are worth trying. I am sure you can add more..
  • Everyday remind yourself you do things well. Like everyone else you have your qualities, there are things you do better than others
  • Read inspiring biographies & autobiographies. It will inspire you, there are lots of people who have made it, starting from nothing.
  • Be thankful. There's always someone worse off than you out there, regardless of your circustances
  • Build excellent support around you. Positive, supportive mind people who instead of bogging you down they push you up.
  • Push your self to accomplish short term goals. This will put you in momentum and you will start seeing yourself as a finisher.
  • Do something for yourself every week. Take a message, sit in hot tub, buy yourself flowers or that couple scopes of ben & jerry.
hope you are having great weekend, I been soooo busy with stuff here but glad to be back to blogging (:

Focus on right things

Have you ever gotten in a cab and told the driver "Just take me anywhere"? We know that the road to anywhere leads to the town called Nowhere. Yet a lot of people are leading their lives in such a way.

Achieving what you want in life does not require any magic formulas or secret ingredients. It's simply focusing on what works versus what does not work. Many people focus on wrong things. Those who live from paycheck to paycheck every month have not focused or studied how to acquire financial intelligence. Many people are stuck in a job that they don't like or enjoy yet they continue to stay there because it is paying bills, rather than being focused on what they really enjoy and want to do.

The point is clearly to focus on what you like, what things in the past have worked for you and brought you the biggest victories. What are you doing right now that is not working. All this require you to sit down and do some clear thinking. Having a clear mental picture of what you want without any fuzziness is one of the core indigents of achieving anything that you want. If you don't know what are you looking for, certainly then no one else does either.

hope everyone is having great time, it's beautiful out here finally spring weather hoohoo!

Exercise

Now don't say Oh no!

Ever since i have committed my self to regular fitness & exercise I have improved my results dramatically in job, school, with other people around me. Every now and then when I tell someone in family etc, they would be like "WHAT you don't need no gym, exercise". I remind them the purpose of it is not always to loose weight. Good question might be to ask them do you want to live rich, healthy life where you enjoy greater vitality and quality of life?

When you live in a home you take care of it, just like that God has give a home to our soul and we should take care of it all time. Here are some of the benefits of you will enjoy by regular exercise workout..
  • improved sleeping habits
  • increased energy levels
  • less stress and anxiety
  • protection against injury
  • a healthy posture
  • relieve from any digestive disorders
  • enhanced self-image
  • expanded longevity
One can probably add many more to the list here. The bottom line is we should all make commitment to making exercise as a part of our daily routine.

4 D it

To get time in the mist of busy life you have to set priorities. Putting out fires all day long is not a healthy strategy. Whenever you have to do something or not do something a choice have to be made. To focus on your priorities The 4-D it options might come in handy.
  1. Dump it Learn to say "No I choose not to do it" & be firm
  2. Delegate it The things are needed to be done, but someone else can do it or maybe do it better than you. I cook well so I will cook while you can take care of cleaning the home.
  3. Defer it These things can wait, the things you have to do but you don't have to do them now.
  4. Do it These are important things, projects that must get the attention right now. So get started on them. These are projects, stuff that will bring you the most success.
A lot of people major in minor things. They have not decided what they want to do in life, where they are going or what is their vision for the future. I think being clear, setting priorities and firm guidelines is vital to the successful outcome.

wishing you wonderful weekend, hav a good time (:

Make a desire to change

If you were unfortunate enough to have a severely disadvantaged background, you can still make the changes in life to turn it around. It may take only one person to help you make the transition. An excellent coach, teacher, therapist, mentor or perhaps someone you admire, a role model. The only thing is that you have to do is you must have a desire and commitment to change yourself. Every journey starts with a desire, a decision to make that journey.

When you are ready to do so, the right people, circumstances will start showing up in your life. There's a saying "when a student is ready the teacher appears," is so true.

have a better day than good! signing off yazi ~/

You are born with

13th century poet might inspire you that you all have destiny..

You were born with potential
You were born with goodness and trust
Your were born with ideals and dreams
You were born with greatness
You were born with wings
You are not meant for crawling, so don't
You have wings
Learn to use them and fly!
~Rumi

I totally inspire and agree with the wisdom here, we are all born with an inner Einstein in us waiting to come out. The fact is that all of us are born creative, talented but some where in early part of life we are thought to stay within lines, go with the flow, come up to expectations, seek approval & we loose our creativity. The great thing about this creativity is that it never dies, its always their in our subconscious mind waiting to come out. When we clear our prospective, set our vision, goal, it comes out aiding us in whatever we are trying to accomplish.

i m having a cold weekend down here, hope you all have a great one..

Don't take yourself so damn serious

LOL @ my header, yeah that's something I have started to practice.
In The Fire from Within, Carlos Castaneda hear these words from his teacher "self-importance is man's greatest enemy, it requires that one spend most of one's life offended by something or someone." It is important for us to have strong self-concept, feeling good about our self, but the problems arises when we start misidentifying on basis of what we have or don't have, achievements, accomplishments etc. Cutting down on some of these ego driven needs can make our life a lot easier..
  • being offended ~ that what offends you weakens you
  • need to win ~ you are not your winnings or victories. Loss is not a loss if you learn from it
  • need to be right ~ do you want to be right or happy?
  • need to be superior ~ nobility isn't being better than others, its being better than what you use to be
  • need to have more ~ no matter how much you get, you will always want more
  • Identifying on bases of achievements ~ if these are what defines you, then what happens if you don't have em
  • Reputation ~ It lies in the eyes of others (what you think of me is non of my business)
hope you are having great time, its gorgeous out here about 80 degrees sunny. I am going to head out & enjoy ;-)
